Agrex, in partnership with the Mitsubishi Corporation, is an exporter of agricultural commodities providing products worldwide. Agrex has a significant role in the “food supply chain management” of the Mitsubishi Corporation providing upstream production to downstream retail activities. Agrex's strength is its alliance with the Mitsubishi Corporation and from the world wide network of overseas offices located in more than seventy-five countries, providing market information and trade opportunities. Domestic facilities include two terminal grain elevators in the state of Nebraska and one hay processing facility in Washington. Agrex has affiliations with one export grain facility located in the Pacific Northwest and one in the Gulf Coast that provides shipping to international markets. FDGI, a subsidiary company of Agrex provides access to a network of producers in the US markets. (FGDI is a joint venture with FC Stone, one of the largest farmer’s cooperatives). Agrex has also established its own producer network with several grain trading companies and cooperatives. With these numerous sources of information and affiliations in both the domestic and overseas markets, Agrex provides a wide range of agriculture commodities to world markets. These networks and services enable Agrex to maintain a strong position in the agriculture trading market.

The Agrex Grain Division also works in conjunction with Double T Trading, an Oklahoma cross country trading office, matching Agrex's origination facilities with Double T destination homes bringing synergy's to both organizations. Agrex also has a partnership with Kalama Export Company, LLC; Kalama, WA. Agrex's grain facilities supply grain to the U.S. domestic market, Mexican market, and Pacific Rim markets.

Unit Train Concept

Agrex specializes in high thru-put grain handling. The Nebraska elevators are equipped to handle approximately 400,000 bushels of grain per day. At each elevator, railroad hopper cars can be loaded at a rate of 50,000 bushels (10 to 13 carloads) per hour. The elevators have the capacity to load 100-car trains. A unit train consists of up to 100 railroad cars or more.
